Hi Friends,

I will be posting an update this weekend on Smiley's adventures.  He has gone on a motorcycle adventure with Mrs. B a few weeks ago!
We are getting  ready to wind down our year at school. The kids are excited and ready for their summer break!
The teacher is ready too!   The weather here has been crazy.  It is now just a  little bit warmer finally. It is starting to feel more like summer.  Last week is was down in the 40 and everyone  was wearing their heavy coats.  YUK! We went to an Indianapolis Indians Baseball game and sat in the rain!

We are getting ready in Indy for the 500 Race Car Race this weekend.  You may have seen it on TV.  It is the 100th running of the race this year.  There will be over 350 thousand people at the event.  We have Memorial Weekend coming up too.  We honor the soldiers who keep our country safe.

I participated in the 500 mini-marathon, a couple of weeks ago. It is a 13.1 race.  I am a walker, not a runner, but I finished it!  Yahoo!

Smiley's fun in March

Smiley had to take a few days off visiting friends as we had a big outbreak of the flu in our classroom.   The kids are getting a little more healthy now.

He did visit Joe over the weekend. He went home with Joe on our Grandparent's day.  He had a fun time spending time with Joe and his grandmother.

He also was busy outside playing,   The weather has been really warm here. We have had several days in the 70  and 60 degrees.  IT has been wonderful!  Today is the first day of Spring!  We can hardly wait for it to stay for awhile and not tease us with warm weather then cold.  We are ready to put away our winter coats and wear just jackets!

Smiley has been busy!

Smiley went home with Patrick.  Here is a picture with his big brother at his soccer game.

Since it is so cold now they have indoor soccer leagues.  We still have some snowy days ahead of us, but it has been really warm some days too!  Crazy Indiana weather

 Patrick comes to school in a van.  We do not have buses. All the students ride to school in cars or vans.  This is a picture of the kids in Patrick's carpool.

Smiley also visited Quinn's home last week.  He had fun playing with his dog Bella.  Quinn forgot to take any pictures of his adventures at his home.     Smiley will go out again tomorrow.  Hopefully we will have some pictures for you next week.  We love all the neat pictures you are sending us.

 Every evening they drink tea, talk, read books. Mante is a very good friend.
